Scrap car
With us, you can feel safe when you hand in the car for photo editing. We are one of the largest Swedish players and handle the entire chain ourselves - from taking care of your scrap car to decontamination, destruction and finally recycling of metals and other recyclable materials.
market compensation
We pay market compensation for each submitted car that is scrapped with us. If significant parts are missing, we make a deduction. We have signed an agreement with the GM group regarding recycling of passenger cars according to the producer responsibility for passenger cars.
Submit your car with us
Most of our facilities can take care of picking up your scrap car. Welcome to contact your nearest facility.
The following actions are required when scrapping a car:
If the owner leaves the car for scrapping himself:
- Latest registration certificate.
- Valid identification.
- Payment is made via bank account or swish.
The vehicle is left for scrapping by a representative:
- Latest registration certificate signed by the owner.
In the field other notification, the owner writes:
"I approve of the car being left for scrap."
Valid identification of the agent and the owner.
If the owner leaves the car for scrapping himself:
- Latest registration certificate.

- Bank card (Mastercard / Visa)
If the owner leaves the car for scrapping himself:
- Latest registration certificate signed by the owner.
- In the field other notification, the owner writes:

If you do not have a registration certificate, you can order a new one below or call the nearest facility and we will help.
NOTE Before ordering a new registration certificate, think about this:
- The registration certificate is two-part, the part needed to scrap a car is yellow.
- A new Registration Certificate costs SEK 150 and needs to be redeemed at a post office or at a representative.
- Only the LAST registration certificate applies, this means that if you order a new certificate and then find the old one, the old one no longer applies.

Car scrapping first on paper
Samma dag som bilen lämnats för skrotning utfärdas ett mottagningsbevis elektroniskt genom direktkontakt med Transportstyrelsen. När mottagningsbeviset registrerats av Transportstyrelsen görs en avställning av fordonet och sedan ett ägarbyte till Skrotfrag. När detta är gjort är bilen avregistrerad. Återbetalning av vägskatt och försäkringspremie sköts av Transportstyrelsen och ditt försäkringsbolag.
PAYMENT
Skrotfrag is a member of Svenska Järn and according to the industry association's decision, we will stop handling cash from 1 January 2013. Checks are also covered, as they are equated with cash. As a supplier to us, you have the opportunity to get paid in the following ways:
Payment by bank transfer (applies to companies)
Deposit is made via bank account or Swish (private person)
You can become an "invoice customer" (applies to companies)

Skrotfrag AB har 24 anläggningar som är auktoriserade av Länsstyrelsen och kan avregistrera fordon hos Transportstyrelsen.
guarantee
We guarantee that the car is disposed of in accordance with current environmental legislation. What is drained or dismantled during environmental remediation is reused or destroyed in accordance with the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency's rules and instructions.
When the car is decontaminated, it is sent to one of our fragmentation plants to recycle metals as a raw material for steel mills and foundries.
